Despite her roots in the first family of country music, Rosanne Cash grew up in Southern California. The daughter of Johnny Cash and stepdaughter of June Carter also lived in London and Nashville before settling in NYC, which she first visited with her father as a young teen. “I had this very skewed vision of New York, that you stayed at the Plaza and you went to the theater a lot and you shopped at Bonwit Teller,” Cash, 55, says.
