Music Heals! Musicians are often among the first people to offer to raise money for people in need. Sweet Relief Musicians Fund was set up to help musicians who are struggling to make ends meet while facing illness or disability to help them pay their medical costs.

This week’s Top Tune comes from 2013′s Pennies From Heaven, the third in the series of Sweet Relief albums where artist’s such as Sam Phillips, Victoria Williams, She & Him, Jackson Browne (singing his late friend Warren Zevon’s stirring hymn, “Don’t Let Us Get Sick”, Ron Sexsmith, Ben Harper, and Rickie Lee Jones (just to name a few) have donated their enormous talents to the cause.

Sheldon Gomberg produced a stellar collection of songs for this edition written by giants such as Sam Cooke, Lennon/McCartney, Merle Haggard, Johnny Burke, Van Morrison, Cy Coleman, Dorothy Fields, Neil Young, and Townes Van Zandt. An album of beauty for a very worthy cause! Click HERE to learn more about Sweet Relief and to donate. Love music & the musicians!
