This week we are very excited to introduce you to the newest member of the Notable family:

“Fierce, focused and joyful” is how Ann Powers of NPR describes the music of Jenny O, and we couldn’t agree more. Jenny’s debut EP was released in 2011 to tremendous attention and acclaim. The disc, Home, was initially self-released, and in July was picked up by Los Angeles based indie, Manimal Vinyl (Warpaint, Bat for Lashes, Sister Crayon, papercranes, etc.). Home’s infectious first single (and accompanying unforgettable video) “Well OK Honey” has received nationwide airplay, including a lot of love from Los Angeles’ influential KCRW. You may also recognize the tune from an episode of HBO’s “True Blood” a few weeks back…

Jenny O. – fresh from touring with Ben Harper, Leon Russell, and as a featured performer on Dave Matthews’ Caravan tour – is currently in the studio with producer Jonathan Wilson (Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Jonathan Rice, Dawes) to continue recording her first full-length album, due in early 2012.
