This week’s Top Tune features a song from the newest edition to the Notable family, Nashville Tennessee- based singer/songwriter, Tim Easton. We’ve had the great pleasure of listening to his stories through song over time, ones that are always honest, always evolving, and always soulful. Tim has scored films, won Independent Music Awards, busked his way around the streets of the world and was recently & rightfully commemorated by a best-of-collection; Tim Easton – Before The Revolution – The Best Of 1998-2011, out now on New West Records.
“Hearing these tunes, written over several years time, brings me back to the mindset of a wondering and stubborn young man who grows up bit by bit. I can conjure him at any moment, and will do so on stage from time to time, but prefer to move forward in this world of a thousand directions” Tim explains. “I like my rock and roll to have a little porch-party in it and I like my folk music to have some distortion”. Can we hear an amen? Tim is currently putting the finishing touches on his 7th solo lp, and the 2nd lp for Easton, Stagger, Phillips. This revolution will continue to be recorded…
